On Friday we celebrated our 2 year Anniversary of {verdigreen} in Montclair. Yana Rodin showcased her lovely art, John Ehlis played mellow jazzy tunes, and Petit Paris supplied the delicious treats. We are so grateful to be a part of this community – thank you for supporting us as we continue to grow and evolve!

We never thought when we opened our little shop from our home 6 years ago that we would have a brick & mortar (or two!) one day so this adventure has been unexpected and surreal but so fulfilling.
Even more exciting news materialized the same week we prepped for our Anniversary…Annie Sloan was coming to New York City for a PR trip and chose {verdigreen} as a destination for her book signing! To say we were in disbelief/shock/awe/lalaland is an understatement. We got busy finishing t
he projects we were leisurely painting at the shop, gathering all we needed to host a book signing, and mentally preparing ourselves to “meet our maker” (ha! <-I just had to.)We are still recovering from the adrenaline high and non-stoppedness of our weekend…but couldn’t wait to share our experiences with you!
Annie had tea with us on Monday (after a lunch with Stockists that was really just as fun as I had hoped – getting to meet so many lovely ladies from around the nation who flew in to see Annie) and then came to our little East Village shop on Tuesday afternoon to spend the evening with us. The two days bonding with other Stockists, sharing our experiences, and spending time with Annie were truly unbelievable. There are no words to express our immense gratitude for the visit and how she made us feel – so I will share the pics instead! She is a real treasure and if you ever have a chance to meet her in person, take it!
